Bloemfontein Cross Country is one of the Cross Country Circles in the Free State, which serves the Mangaung region with Cross Country leagues. These leagues enable athletes to get exposure to competitions.
Provision is made for athletes of all age groups to participate, from beginner (under 8) till master athletes.
To encourage healthy competition, there are also medals awarded at the end of the season for the best athletes in each age group, as well as team competition awards. Regular and mass participation are encouraged, by awarding athletes who run all the leagues with a special ribbon.
The Cross Country season runs from May till September each year.
